The duck has long been a metaphor for the human soul in literature — ever striving to drink from the waters of life. It is engraved upon the body of the spoon, accompanied by figures of the dragon and the Simurgh. The dragon, symbol of impurity and darkness, seeks to penetrate the soul, while the Simurgh — emblem of wisdom and healing — struggles to prevent it. Indeed, within every soul this eternal conflict endures: the meeting of good and evil, and the question remains — which shall prevail?
