The horse has always been one of the most inspiring subjects in the history of art. From ancient reliefs to contemporary paintings and sculptures, artists throughout the ages have sought to capture the majesty, grace, and free spirit of this noble creature. In the eyes of an artist, the horse is not merely a beautiful being; it is a symbol of power, movement, and the profound connection between humanity and nature.
In this work, an effort has been made to translate the inner dignity of the horse into the language of metal—where form and hammer replace brush and color, yet the emotion remains the same: free and alive. This piece is composed of several separate parts. First, the desired patterns were hammered and shaped on different anvils. The pieces were then joined in such a way that no trace of the connection remained visible. Next, the interior of the main form was filled with a mixture of bitumen and plaster, and the details were executed using the chasing (engraving) technique.
