This artwork is inspired by a poem of Rumi, which says:
The world is nothing, and the people of the world are nothing.
O nothing, do not entangle yourself with nothing for the sake of nothing.
Do you know what remains of a human after death?
It is love and affection — all else is nothing.
The essence of the poem conveys that all the things we strive for and grow attached to are neither lasting nor truly valuable.
Wealth, the body, and even people all belong to time, and thus are transient.
Therefore, one should not distress oneself over what is fleeting, for the only treasure that endures and is eternal is love and kindness.
