Akbar Bozorgian

Holder of Equivalent Doctoral Degree in Art from Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance

Master Akbar Bozorgian is one of the few engraving artists who has achieved practical degrees of engraving one by one upon his accomplishment as a shaper. He started working alongside of his brothers when he was 6 years old in the "Samovar makers bazaar" in Isfahan and made dishes and items for daily use. When he was 14, he was an expert in manufacturing various metal crafts. Then he specialized his occupation and started shaping and infrastructure works for the famous engraving masters of Isfahan. His great affection and skills not only made him an expert as a shaper but also led him to engraving and very quickly, he achieved high levels of proficiency encouraged by masters Hossein Alaghemandan and Mahdi Alamdari and late Mr.Dehnavi.

Inspired by the styles and artworks of late Mr. Dehnavi, he engraves patterns in the style of Sasanian and Achaemenid and especially the patterns In Persepolis and makes his pieces which he has shaped himself, with absolute beauty and elegance.

Master Akbar Bozorglan Is a man of good manners, modest and benevolent. He also used to teach the course of "Shaping" to the students In Art UnIversity of Isfahan.
